Michigan Community Service Commission

The MCSC is the federal grantee for AmeriCorps in the state of Michigan and provides programmatic support and guidance to AmeriCorps staff and members, as well as on-going professional development and training. The MCSC utilizes service as a strategy to address the state's most pressing issues and empowers volunteers to strengthen communities.

In addition to Michigan’s AmeriCorps, the MCSC oversees Mentor Michigan, the Governor’s Service Awards, and serves as the lead state-agency for voluntarism in times of disaster.

Michigan State Federal Credit Union

MSUFCU has been a long-time partner of Peckham, Inc. and the AmeriCorps program. Staff from MSUFCU provide classes for clients that teach skills and financial knowledge necessary for financial self-sufficiency and security. Clients at Peckham are also eligible for membership with the credit union, allowing many to open accounts and begin managing their Finances.

Fifth-Third Bank

5/3 Bank is a new partner with the AmeriCorps program at Peckham, Inc. Staff from 5/3 provide regular classes for clients regarding homeownership and saving for college education. These classes meet critical needs with clients served at Peckham, as many have started earning a stable income and are interested in purchasing their first home and/or pursuing higher education. 

Asset Independence Coalition (AIC)

AIC has been a long-time partner with Peckham’s AmeriCorps program and has been a great support through several tax seasons. AIC provides AmeriCorps members with training and resources necessary to become VITA-certified tax preparers. This partnership has enabled AmeriCorps to provide free tax preparation services using My Free Taxes online software, which is funded through the United Way.

This partnership has allowed Peckham to contribute to bringing over $5 million in refunds to the community through assisting clients file for  free.


Greater Lansing AmeriCorps Network (GLAN)

GLAN is a group of national service members, alumni, and supporters looking to foster and grow a vibrant community of individuals committed to creating a culture of service in the Lansing area. GLAN facilitates opportunities for passionate individuals to build connections, serve in their community, and spread the story of service.
