Foundation Overview

Capitol Region Community Foundation

Since 1994, Peckham has had an Endowment Fund with the Capitol Region Community Foundation. This allows donors another way to support Peckham.

Giving to Peckham through an endowed account with a community based foundation gives donors an additional tax benefit.

Helping persons with barriers to employment succeed as individuals and as contributors to the larger community remains our top priority.

The Peckham Community Partnership Foundation nurtures creativity and supports innovation by encouraging staff to implement new ideas for improvement.

We do this through the Mini-Grants program, where staff are encouraged to submit creative program ideas for initial funding. These grants have touched the lives of nearly 1,000 people this past year by supporting new programs and innovative approaches to enhance services and overcome challenges.

The Foundation also provides a safety net for critical programs that give those we serve a chance to succeed. We support vocational training services to more than 150 persons with severe cognitive and developmental disabilities.

In addition, our ongoing support for the Art from the Heart program provides professional art instruction and creative inspiration for people with disabilities.

The Foundation also funds an active adult learning program including English for Speakers of Other Languages and citizenship classes.
