Art from the Heart
"Through art, whether performance, written or visual, we are taught much about ourselves. The artists involved in Art from the Heart capture this very essence. Their art is rich, pure and comes directly from their hearts to reach our souls. They certainly have reached mine."
Nina Silbergleit, House Manager, Wharton Center for Performing Arts, Michigan State University

Art from the Heart was designed as an outlet for creative expression in the visual arts to individuals with disabilities. By providing a supportive and noncompetititve environment, participants are provided stimulating opportunities to discover and strengthen artistic talents.
The program is enriched by exhibits, artist receptions and a visiting artist series. Ceramic and pottery classes also enhance the art making experience for participants.
Art from the Heart sponsors a growing group of more than 75 artists through programs in Lansing and Charlotte, Michigan. By making the study of art accessible to all, there are no limitations to freedom of expression or creative outlets.
